Born in the coastal province of Piura, in northern Peru, Angel Suárez studied art at Piura’s National Art Institute and at the Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes “Macedonio de La Torre” in Trujillo, where he excelled in painting.
Angel has showcased his work in numerous art exhibits throughout the world, which include a permanent exhibition at the Peru Embassy in Kuwait, printed publications distributed in the United States and Dubai, and at various other art galleries, exhibits and biennales in Ecuador, Panama, Peru, Colombia, France, Morocco, Spain.
He is passionate about his work, which is influenced by his holistic approach to life, his captivating personality and true spirituality. His creations often depict society reflected by drawings of buildings and the challenges it faces while alleviated by a touch of the divine – as in the “Tree of Life and Love” where the buildings drawn below the large colorful leafy tree reflect society as a whole, the fence in front of the tree represents the problems society must confront, and the hearts shown in red within the leaves of the tree represent love.
